Ashes That Remember Fire
A journey through the pain that didn’t break us, but built the fire we rise from.

I broke, but silence did not keep me down
I cried, but still I wore no crown
The world had shattered every thread,
Yet here I stand—unbowed, undrowned
They took my voice, but not my soul
They burned my dreams, left just a hole
But even ash remembers flame,
And broken hearts still seek a goal
You saw my wounds, but not the fight
The battles waged in endless night
I bled in smiles no one could see,
But still I rose to claim my right
Don't call me strong for walking straight
Call me strong for bearing weight
Of every scar, each quiet war,
That shaped my soul and built my fate
So if you fall, fall like the rain
Softly washing out the pain
And rise again like dawn’s first spark,
For even darkness holds the flame

"This is not just poetry — it’s resilience carved into words. Each stanza echoes the quiet strength of surviving the unseen battles. I felt every line deeply, especially the reminder that even ashes remember flame. Thank you for writing something that so many of us needed to hear today."
