All the senses engage in the creative process

Mexican lasagna bakes in the oven, the scent travels downstairs to the most Unassuming part of the house: the basement. My fingers pick up costly Gems, some vivid, some pastel, shapely. My designs are incomplete.
I hear the timer go off: at least the meal is finished!
I shove down the bowl of comfort food and make corrections to my work.
