Attempted Murder
A Common Crime
Chase me to the edge,
Your tongue a wielded knife,
I have no feathers to fledge.
Roll me down the hill,
When I hit the bottom,
Watch my guts spill.
Go ahead and pick me apart,
Like a ravenous crow,
Take everything but my bleeding heart.
Do you take pleasure,
Cackling and cawing,
In this dark endeavor?
Do you enjoy this sinister game,
As you leave me here,
Left to die in misery and shame?
