Leaves drifting on air,

Swirling gold and red, lazy

In their descent down.

Smell of smoke, acrid.

Red and gold atmosphere.

Chill in the air, like

A bite of apple,

From a bucket of water.

Spooky time of year.

Pumpkins everywhere,

Carved, lit inside, candlelight

In the windows bright.

Haiku
