“Being a Parent”

Spending a day out in the sand

Seeing my child’s hand, playing in band.

A fun day at the park

Never miss this part, proud parent’s heart.

Off to school can be hard

A smile I impart this scholar’s tart.

Take them fishing’ and doing’ dishes

Hard work pays late, lessons we teach.

Brushing their teeth no preaching’ dad

I always get sad,

Because one day I know they will grow up,

To be Mom or maybe be Dad.
