To those who refused to listen

can you hear it now?

The pendulum has swung,

diaphanous allies

more opaque than

realised,

march over the good work

of generations before us

because we refused

to respect

the values of progress.

Character over Identity.

Radical then,

radical now.

Shame on those

who sacrificed creed

for the superficiality

of skin pigment

and where you like

to put your genitals

at night...

You reap what you sow,

and the harvest

is rotten and ancient

and all too fucking familiar.

The pendulum has swung,

and it wreaks havoc

on all that it passes.

This a follow up to a political poem I wrote 3 years ago, in which I voiced cause for concern to what has now undoubtedly begun.

Both should be read in tandem.

Powerful stuff, Dean and a great follow-up. I just went back and refreshed myself on the original. And when did you sneak back in, haha. Great to see a notification from you! Happy new year, Bud!

  • Well written Dean an important statement that we all must heed. I am immensely saddened with the current state of the United States. This is the worst state of affairs I have witnessed in my 66 years.

Powerful, important and sadly true. I remember Cannibal. Off to read it again
