Breaking up is hard to do, indeed. And the worst person to break up with is? Yourself.

It's hard to break up with habits, actions, or thoughts that no longer serve any purpose. They're within our comfort zone. They're part of a routine. We fear change.

And, to break up, or out, of the comfort zone needs patience and time.

The black rose, commonly a breakup or death flower, needs time to wilt when it comes to these thoughts or actions.

Enjoy this Nonet.

Hardy black petals, drifting to ground

Along a path so well defined

A road difficult to leave

Drop with hourglass sand

Leaves of thought wilting

Hard to leave branch

Sandy heart

Gives them

Push.
