Broken-Hearted

Song Reference Poem

By Visionary GhostwriterPublished 8 years ago 3 min read

Why is it that love is so hard to find?

When it is always right under our noses?

So I ask you this, 'cause I'm in a bind,

Does all love sound like "Guns and Roses"?

Or is it deeper than what we think?

Even if you cannot hear your love calling your name?

When you call they are there in a wink.

Don't play the foolish game.

So don't fall in love for vain.

Because under love's cold stern glare,

For what would you gain?

For you cannot cower under the stare,

Because love is something you will never forget!

Everything's all good,

'Til you turn around and do something stupid.

She lost the one she loved most,

'Cause she was a coward and hid.

Now she's without him and she doesn't know what to do.

Her life depended all on him.

And yet they still left each other.

Her life means nothing now that he's gone, life seems too hard.

She does know that she can't go on.

She was "Foolish" to ever let him slip away.

This love that was once so sweet.

Has now turned into bitter hate.

Never to love each other again.

She let their love fall apart.

Once you loved one, that love for them never fades.

But simply remains locked deep down in one's heart.

Never to see that wonderful thing that they once shared.

Met only by mere chance.

One left to let go, while the other already has.

She only wants the one she loves with her once more.

But she can never take back the harsh things she had said.

She sees that life is too hard without him.

That she was right to fall in love with him.

She only wants one thing in this life and that's him.

He won't forgive her for what she had done.

She realizes that she made a big mistake.

She will wish for the rest of her life.

That one day, he will forgive her and come back.

One thing she knows is that she will never stop loving him,

No matter what he will say, or do.

She is left "Crying Over You."

She has so many unspoken words for him.

He doesn't "care" anymore.

He has given up on her.

She's still fighting to be with him again.

She knows that there's no "Life After You"

He doesn't want anything to do with her.

He was all she had in this life.

She still loves him with everything.

He used to love her.

"She Hates This Part."

She wishes he would care.

The only thing she still has of him.

Are the pictures and his voice on voicemail.

His voice, she wishes she could hear again.

This helps prove to her that he was a part of her.

She has no way to contact him

She has lost everything.

She knows that she can never love anyone the same way again.

She wants him and only him.

For her "It's Not Over."

He wishes she was dead, but she still lives.

'Cause one day she knows he will come back again, hopefully.

His voice plays "Over And Over" again.

Saying that he loves her.

She's trying to learn "The Art Of Letting Go."

But no matter how hard she tries.

She still feels for him with every piece of her heart.

"The Hardest Thing" she could do.

Is to look him in the eye tell him she doesn't love him anymore.

And to show no emotion when she says goodbye.

To walk away pretending that she doesn't love him.

She cries every night, as the hole in her heart,

Gets deeper and deeper, and hurts more and more,

With every beat.

She wants the pain to go away.

But only he can do that.

He will never understand the pain she feels.

When a heart breaks, it never "Breaks Even."

She told him, "He leaves she loses everything."

She guesses he didn't believe her.

She is falling apart, slowly.

Falling into internal darkness.

Realizing that there is no escape.

Falling into nothingness.

Lost with no where to go.

Never to see the light of day.

Or the hope and faith she once knew,

While she was with the man of her dreams.

Wishing one day to escape all the pain.

And be in his arms once more.

But "In The End" it doesn't even matter.

They are never to be with each other again.
