dauntless love

By kpPublished about a year ago 1 min read
my wedding day

before our breath is stopped quick at

lips, we linger, soaking,

all in.

clutching fingers against reactive skin.

hair standing at attention

to your details-

understanding your prints,

and knowing each line-

noticing the nearly imperceptible twitch of your delicate pinky as it comes to rest against my flushing neck.

Beautiful, kp. Your descriptive detail brings the words alive. I could actually visualize the pinky finger twitching as I read your poem. Exceptional writing.
