“There are only four words
that mean so much more
than ‘I love you’,
and those words are
‘I’m here for you’.”
How many of us
need to hear these words:
“I’m here for you” ?
They mean more than any gift
because for someone to be there for us
is a ‘gift’ in itself.
When a loved one or even a friend
says these words,
it shows a real depth of emotional support,
which is something that every one of us needs.
For a person
to make the time,
to sit down
and quietly listen,
without judging,
and be willing to help,
shows a real understanding
and
a ‘wanting’
to help someone we care about.
This reflects a commitment,
a willingness,
to be available when needed.
When you and I
receive this kind of help and kindness,
we completely de-stress
because we know we are not alone.
Can we do the same
for those we love?
