Now…
is the time to
plant daffodils!
Their golden heads
lift and nod as Winter
relinquishes her icy grip
As sweet Spring swoops in…
that’s the time to hitch up skirts to
happily hike amidst a riot of thousands
of dancing daffodils, growing wild and free
in the Adelaide Hills… jasmine fragrance wafting
on brisk breezes, lifting heavy hearts in celebration of
a new day, a season of hope, a fresh start!

Inspired by memories of hiking amongst wild daffodils in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Written for the below prompt:

I love the end! The rebirth after winter is not just physical but it can be emotional for so many. I can almost smell this poem with it's jasmine breezes.
