Dear Roxanne
a love poem in 50 words

Roxanne,
I can still feel that old city inside me
The breathless walk home
A heart I thought broken
barely breaking in
To this life
On rushing waters
And your first breath against my chest
The city caught fire
A sacrifice born from the truest love
I have ever known

Beautifully evocative, capturing love and loss perfectly.
And your first breath against my chest. Absolutely beautifully done.
“Your first breath against my chest” 🥹🥹🥹 This line delivers so much more than it’s six words! Well crafted , and well done 👏
Beautiful take on the challenge - love the lines about the 'old city,' that opening imagery lends a magic to the whole piece; and your photography is beautiful, too! Congratulations, Justin! :)
Wooohooooo congratulations on your win! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
