Different Worlds

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

**Verse 1**

You reached up, your hand a guiding light,

Gently holding me, leading through the night.

Familiar touch, a dance we knew so well,

In this world, our hearts began to swell.

**Chorus**

For the first time, I looked down and saw,

Not just a shadow, but everything in awe.

You showed me the truth in the darkest night,

Bound together, igniting our souls’ fire bright.

**Verse 2**

From different worlds, expectations held tight,

But in your eyes, the stars began to ignite.

No more arrogance from a birthright’s past,

In your gaze, the moments would ever last.

**Chorus**

For the first time, I looked down and saw,

Not just a shadow, but everything in awe.

You showed me the truth in the darkest night,

Bound together, igniting our souls’ fire bright.

**Bridge**

In brokenness, we found our way,

Through separateness, we learned to stay.

A flame that burned through lifetimes gone,

Together we rise, no fear to lean upon.

**Chorus**

For the first time, I looked down and saw,

Not just a shadow, but everything in awe.

You showed me the truth in the darkest night,

Bound together, igniting our souls’ fire bright.

**Outro**

We were damned, yet blessed in this dance,

Together we found our sacred chance.

In your embrace, I am truly free,

You saw me, my love, and I saw you too—eternally.
