Figments of Love

Lonely Love

By Samantha SmithPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

I dream of love so powerful that it steals my breath.

Of light surging within my chest, smiles staining my cheeks,

I dream of quiet hellos and whispered adorations.

But the figure before me lacks a face,

And I awake to my isolation,

Doomed to love figments of my imagination.
