Fleeting Solace

a poem inspired by gentleness of living

By Solomon WalkerPublished about a year ago 1 min read
fleeting solace by Solomon

In the depths of my mind,

I seek solace divine,

A fleeting moment of peace,

A respite from the grind.

The world outside is chaos,

A never-ending race,

But in my heart, I find a place,

Where I can slow my pace.

The gentle breeze, the rustling leaves,

The chirping birds, the buzzing bees,

All come together in harmony,

To offer me a moment of serenity.

The worries of the day,

The fears that hold me at bay,

All fade away in this moment,

As I bask in nature’s enchantment.

But alas, this solace is fleeting,

As the world beckons me back,

But I hold on to this moment,

And carry it with me on my track.

For in this moment of peace,

I find the strength to face the day,

And though it may be fleeting,

It gives me hope along the way.
