They flash upon that inward eye ... / And then my heart with pleasure fills - William Wordsworth, "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud"

Yes, the Flint Hills of Kansas really are this beautiful. I had to add a new word --"viridescent" -- to my palette.

About the Creator

Sonia Heidi Unruh

I love: my husband and children; all who claim me as family or friend; the first bite of chocolate; the last blue before sunset; solving puzzles; stroking cats; finding myself by writing; losing myself in reading; the Creator who is love.

That was beautiful!! I learned a new word too haha. I also learned about a side of Kansas I’ve never seen!! I was looking at images of the Flint Hills and there was one at sunset that must have been taken in the fall….and it really could have been taken in the West Virginia hills! What a lovely place!
