For A Moment

but only just a moment

For A Moment

It's all happening so fast, but all in the best ways.

Every morning I wake up to your texts wishing me a wonderful day,

then some sort of compliment about me to follow.

My mornings are sweeter, my days lighter, and my nights are eager.

Should they be? Is it too fast?

Slow and steady is what we agreed to, but that went out the window pretty early on.

Now all I want is to be in your arms and for you to never let go.

I will appreciate the feeling for the moment, however fleeting it may be,

afterwards I will let it all go and keep moving forward,

or I could stay.

But this is just for the moment.

It sounds like you're experiencing a whirlwind of emotions in a rapidly progressing relationship! It's common to feel both exhilarated and cautious when things move quickly. Here are a few thoughts to consider: Check in with yourself: Reflect on how you truly feel about the pace of the relationship. Does the speed make you feel excited, anxious, or both? Communicate openly: Since you initially agreed on a slower pace, it's important to discuss your feelings with your partner. Open communication can help ensure both of you are comfortable with the relationship's progression. Enjoy the moment: If you're feeling good about where things are heading, it’s okay to savor the joy and connection you’re experiencing now. Plan for calm: While enjoying the rush, also plan some quieter moments together to build a deeper connection that’s not just based on excitement. Stay true to yourself: It’s important to remain true to your feelings and needs. If you ever feel overwhelmed, it's okay to take a step back and reassess.

  • Congratulations on Top Story! Texting has changed everything about dating, falling in love and communication. I remember laying in bed hoping my phone would ring. Before that, lovers waited for a letter. Before that they waited to have Bam-Bam drag them away to their cave by their hair, 😂

  • Enjoyed your lovely creation! Congratulations on the top story!

This is short but sweet. I liked the skepticism. I think it's natural, especially for people who have been significantly hurt or let down in the past, to not fully trust happiness.
