Fresh Pajamas and Sheets
The joy found in clean laundry.
By Austin JamesPublished about a year ago • 1 min read
Gentle on my skin, soft and warm
A soothing reminder of peace,
Of sleep, of all that dreams hold
A sacred moment, a favorite time
Greeting me after a long day or night
-
Free, and personal, and wonderful
The fabric can be worn, or thin
Or faded, or pilled- no matter
The magic is still deeply woven within,
Found only after laundry day
-
Calling me to my slumber, or to read
An urgent reminder to relax, to just breathe
Offering me comfort and joy at day’s end
An incredible feat for fresh pajamas and sheets
Centering me, in textile-fueled dreams
