Fulfilled. Complete.

Between the Grooves, Through the Drop

Baby, be the stylus,

delicate, precise.

Feel the grooves, run your tip

along the textured surface.

Find the rhythm, find the pace,

find each fold and its face.

The emptiness surrounding us

fills with tender harmony.

It hums and murmurs

slow,

unhurried,

eternal echo hovering

eons after record ends.

Honey, be the sunbeam

to my sparkling raindrop.

Pass through me at the perfect angle

my limbs and yours, twined, entangled.

Push me, pull me,

hold me, love me,

until the harvest ripens sweet,

and we dance on rainbow’s arc

to the brim fulfilled, throughout complete.

Each step is new

as well as ancient,

and nothing else in world remains.

The ending feels timeless, like something that has always been happening.

Beautiful! I can see why this earned a TS. Congrats!

I'm wondering if you wrote this to a person,or to inspiration itself? I interpreted in the way that it speaks to the muse, but then that could be anything and anyone... maybe I'm just overthinking. Beautiful poem!

Really enjoyed this Cristal, especially how you created the sensuality between lovers metaphorically through the record player. Bringing musicality into poetry is something I love. Well done on your 'Top Story.' Thoroughly deserved!

Wow this was, bliss written through the senses. Sensual but innocent, inspired by the Vinyl Record Player, but breaking through as a perfect love poem that was inspired, but seamlessly. Outstanding. Congratulations on your Top Story 🎊🎉🎊

A really great poem once again, Cristal. Loved it. I hope Vocal gives you Top Story because more people should read these. My favourite lines: "Find the rhythm, find the pace, find each fold and its face. The emptiness surrounding us fills with tender harmony."
