Holiday Season Mood & Preparation
Holiday Mood Poetry
I can feel the holiday season mood, everywhere I go. The spirits are high. Green and red ornaments are everywhere I look. Kids are stocking up their stock. The streets are filled with running kids. Everyone is ready for the upcoming holiday. So I went to the attic, grabbing the box filled with trinkets and ornaments and begin with the task, with a cup of hot.
As I hang up mistletoe & lights,
I struggle to untangle knotted sights.
Wrapping presents with tape & cheers,
Just hoping it won't take me all year!
With a tree that's crooked and lights that won't glow,
I'm starting to wonder if I even know
How to prepare for the holiday season,
But hey, at least there's plenty of hot cocoa for good reason!
I think I better put it off till tomorrow. To stock up and upgrade myself because today it all seens like a hopeless case. Putting everything back I now relax on the sofa enjoying the hot cocoa.

This poem captures the delightful confusion and magic of holiday planning to perfection. I love the gallows humor of "I'm starting to wonder if I even know," as it's a reference to those universal holiday moments of frustration. It's a light-hearted, sincere examination of the flawed pleasures of the season.🌞
Yayyyy hot cocoa hehehehhehehe. Loved your poem+
You deserve extra hot chocolate for making a very realistic poem, I agree feeling at times like it’s taking forever to wrap just a few presents. Great Poem.
