Be still, like shadows at noon,
Whisper your name to the dark side of the moon.
Fold up your fears, tuck away your doubt,
And leave through the door that dreams slip out.
Pack light, no baggage or ties,
No phone, spare socks, no need for goodbyes.
Wear silence like silk, soft on your skin,
And carry a smile that knows where you’ve been.
Leave not too early, not too late,
When clocks are confused and forget how to wait.
The world will spin, the clocks will tick,
But you’ll be gone — a clever trick.
Now when you leave, go through the front door,
Walk tall, be normal, like an everyday chore
Choose a destination, not marked on a map
But a place where your comfortable to lay your head for a nap
Say nothing, not even a sigh,
Words leave a trail, like smoke in the sky.
Talk only in riddles, hum only in rhyme,
And time will forget you — just give it time.
Be kind to the life that you leave,
To the socks in the drawer, to the webs that you weave.
Leave one small note, or a joke on the wall:
"Gone fishing for stars — don’t wait, don’t call."
Somethings are broken beyond all repair
Your heart, your mind, your hope left in despair
Sometimes you want to follow this guide
To vanish with no clue for where you hide
I too day dream about going away
To feel rest, rebuild hope, to have somewhere safe to stay
It all could change in a moment of pain
When my mind clouds over, and I feel the rain.
I could pull out this guide and go play by play
But for just for now I say, not today, not today
