Humanity

Where Art Thou?

By Harydo NeonPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Dear humanity, thus I have found you

Sleeping in this tavern all cold and frosty

Humans chased you and crucified you

Made a mockery of you and still think they have you

Dear humanity, I am sorry they made a mockery of you

Sorry I watched them and I did nothing

Sorry I dissappeared into the blues

And here you are, housed underneath curtains

Oh humanity, those Scars on your face

With you gone, we are divided into races

Futher divided into religions

And speared by political beliefs

Oh humanity, we need you more than ever

I need you to come back on my behalf

I can't stand or sit through the happenings

Wants an offering? Take my upper limbs

Oh please humanity, can't you feel the bad stench in the air

Poisoned by humans, who seek out a piece of painted paper

Humanity, please wake up, help us

Culture your brother and decency your cousin died when you left.

Sitting on my 21st birthday today

17th of October, I sat with head to the sky asking

What has earth become?

No no no.. More like where has humanity gone?

Please come back with me

For I fear I would be part of the corrupted herd

Like I could loose your part of me

Oh yeah, here goes another depressing news

sad poetry
