Start with the carbs.
Soft mush
create a plush
bed, welcoming hush
to coat the words that want to rush
from your mouth in lush
abandon, instead crush
them between your teeth shhhhhush
the urge, swallow the gush
Don't say it.
Chew on the barbs.
Choke down the chatter
Your thoughts don't matter
You're fat, growing fatter
Please, girl, don't flatter
yourself , your anger can splatter
the bowl s-o-f-t-l-y, no clatter
flush it away, rinse the bitter bile batter
Just don't say it.
When you open your lips
fill your mouth with the scripts
of the wise and the chips
of denial, lest the truth slips,
escapes winging outward and strips
away doubt, shining light to eclipse
the route you're taking through trips
into dreams of what were wishes, grips
reality too hard, caution to the wind rips-
You're angry. Don't dare say it.
