In your presence, my heart finds solace and peace,
A haven where troubles and worries find release.
But alas, you stay away, distant and apart,
For you have thousands of lovers, a crowded heart.
Each soul yearns for your affection, your sweet embrace,
Bound by desire, caught in love's endless chase.
Yet still, I persist, drawn to your radiant flame,
Knowing that I may never be the one to claim.
For in your realm of passion and allure,
I am but a humble traveler, unsure.
I long for your touch, your whispers in the night,
To bask in your love, to feel your love's might.
But I understand the burden you carry,
Your heart entwined with lovers, ever merry.
Though I may be one among countless others,
In your presence, I find solace, my soul uncovers.
For even if we remain forever apart,
You've ignited a fire within my heart.
So, I come to you, beloved, despite the divide,
Knowing our love may never fully reside.
But in the moments we share, however few,
I find a love that feels eternally true.

After the Storm
After the storm of winter snow there sat a small bear by the name Ted, of course. He loves the snow and likes to roll around in it making all sorts of trails and whatever he has a mind to do. He wondered where all the people are, but in a way, he is hoping that they are all snug in the homes maybe drinking hot chocolate-one of his favorite drinks with mini-marshmallows and eating something homemade for he likes this winter wonderland all to himself to romp and play and maybe even catch some fish down by the river.
