i live.

it may be hard to feel so,

when you look around

and the world seems so

"broken"

as one might say,

but still

i live.

and i write,

i continue on,

just in spite

of the ones who hate

who think it's really great

to yell at people

who don't deserve it

but still,

i live.

because to do any otherwise

would be to die;

to do any otherwise

would be to call for death

to say that it has won

when it hasn't

that's why

i live.

because there's so many things

i haven't done;

family, husband, children, maybe-

i continue

because life lives on

because there is more in the world

despite everything,

still

i live.

and as i live,

so should you.

to live life

is to conquer death.

despite your differences,

or difficulties,

or whatever else we happen to see as

"bad,"

you must continue to live.

living is crushing death.

and so,

i live.

because there is still a world to live in.

and no matter the case

of what happens,

there will always be a me or a you,

a soul to live on,

and there will always be a world,

no matter what comes to it

heat or cold,

that on, we may push death under our feet.
