I Loved You and Lost You

Poem about love and loss.

By Margaret MinnicksPublished about 12 hours ago 1 min read

I loved and lost you, not because I didn't love you enough.

I loved you and lost you because I loved you too much.

You admitted your love didn't measure up to mine.

You left me so I could find someone who could love me more.

That never happened.

You lost me because I cared too much.

You lost me because you didn't care enough.

You tried to find someone else to love you.

That never happened.

We both loved and lost

There was no balance.

I gave too much

You didn't give enough.

Should we try again?

That will never happen!
