You’ve been playing a game of hide seek, my love,

but its gone on for too long.

My eyes have grown heavy and tears have cease to come.

My throat aches from shouting your name

into the void without reply.

I’ve begun to think I’ve lost you entirely

I wonder if you even want to be found

My legs are sore from walking the earth.

My heart is in shambles,

and my first aid kit has no remedies left inside it.

I can't keep seeking.

So this is me waving my white flag,

I surrender in order to save myself.
