You left so quietly one day,

Without a word to say goodbye.

Now I look for you in shadows,

Beneath the ever-changing sky.

--

Your voice, though still, it echoes near,

In every thought, in every dream.

I search the wind, the silent air,

For traces of your gentle stream.

--

Your hands that once would guide my way,

Now rest within my heart's embrace.

Though you're not here, I feel you stay,

In every tear, in every grace.

--

Each step I take, you walk beside,

In memories and love so true.

And though you're gone, you never fade—

For all I am, I learned from you.

It's sad and painful that the child mourns his father's gentle departure. He is expressing a desire for his presence in thoughts and dreams. The boy seeks out his gentle stream and hands, sensing his father's presence in each tear and grace while developing from them. Great life teaching poem, Dr. Jason.

"Though you're not here, I feel you stay..." Yes. That line.
