He doesn’t realize how beautiful he is
How the pain in his eyes moves her soul
in ways she didn’t know she could move
how everything falls together in this strange
jigsaw puzzle that she didn’t realize she was
putting together, her whole life. When things
didn’t make sense before, she had excuses
Ways in which she could shrug off the feeling
to tell herself she doesn’t deserve the kind of love
she’s looking for. She felt his pain. On a much
deeper level than most, and part of her felt like
it was always in her life’s path to be right here, in this
moment, telling this beautiful man that he is beautiful,
that he deserves to be loved. Offering him kind words
and comfort and support and every kind of love, not just one.
the love of family, but also of a soulmate or something;
of someone her wounded soul aches so badly to connect with;
of someone who makes all the other assholes that came before him
seem like they were always meant to happen, in this exact way,
so she could be led to him in this moment, in his time of need,
because God told her she was special. That she had a special
journey. It makes her want to cry happy tears, because so much
does she love this feeling, so much does she love this man,
he’s not like any other man she’s ever known. He’s kind and sweet
and beautiful and handsome and smart and loving and
everything she’s ever needed. It often seems too good to be true.
but she just keeps saying to herself:
”you were meant for me, and I was meant for you.”
