Trudging through snow,
I paused to bask in the warmth of sunlit bricks.
Although cold to the touch,
their radiance heated the
chambers inside of my mind.
Awakened by the moment,
my attention was stolen by a red dog
playing with frozen sticks.
Freed by winter’s presence,
I returned to the present,
liberated and confined.

What a great way to define January. Love the image. Good job.
