I rise from the ashes,

Made of strange smoke.

Back full of slashes,

Treated like a joke.

Crackling with life,

I was a warming force.

Now I’m full of strife,

Feeling so coarse.

Not feeling the same,

My soul was dwindling.

The pain was a flame,

Anger its horrible kindling.

______________________________________

Shame left a burn,

Skin was rubbed raw.

Flames began to turn,

Destroying the last straw.

I turned it around on you,

Weaponizing the fire.

Now you’ll hurt too,

By my horrible desire.

All that’s left is soot,

You no longer exist.

I feel better to boot,

The pain has desist.
