Just A Memory
One Of Us, Unofficial Challenge By Kayleigh Fraser

*
If tomorrow starts without me
Am I stuck in yesterday
Will the past be all I see
Will I have seen my last today
And if it’s true, time waits for no one
And I’m truly left behind
Will I be remembered for what I’ve done
Will you remember me as kind
Or will I, just like the minutes
On a clock, just fade away
No one remembering me in it
Another memory betrayed
Or will tomorrow lose some meaning
Will what I offered be revered
Will it tarnish its beginning
With my presence being severed
Will the efforts in my living
Stand against the rush of time
Will a tomorrow, come without me
Be better than the one it left behind

Well done… great entry ✅
Questions I ask every day I wake up. A beautiful, and very emotional piece. It makes me want to hug you. I felt every feeling in this compelling poem.
Such a very important question. Will we be just a memory...such a sad and wistful mixture of feelings and emotions. Beautiful.
Beautifully written but kind of sad imagining that those who care for you would not remember or carry a piece you inside that would long outlast your days on earth.
This is beautiful, Kelli. Well done.
Quite an emotional piece and giving all a lot to think about themselves as well as others.
Ohh Kelli! Well done 🥹 This feels so heartbreaking but so lovely to read 🤍😇
