Ego=Y

Justifying why...

Another attempt at

Birthing my

Creations comes crashing

Down.

Eye to eye with Ego,

For every

Great conception

He has

Infinite insults,

Justifying why...

Kindness escapes my ego.

Laboring over

My crappy writing is

Never going to make me

Orwell or Orson Welles.

Perhaps he's right. If I

Quit now, I can

Reinvent myself while I'm

Still young. Afterall,

Time isn't my friend,

Unless I spend it

Validating my

Woes. I've got

X-amount of potential, but when

Y equals

Zero, why even try?

Super & congratulations on Top Story!!!💕❤️❤️

  • Wow, this struck a nerve with me. I think that every writer feels this way at some point, but the thing that separates great writers from those who just tried to write is that they never give up. They keep trying and trying, and even if their crappy work gets them feeling down, they keep writing anyway, using those feelings to fuel even more writing. Time might be against us, but that's why we have to dedicate what little time we have to what we care about. Congrats on the Top Story!

  • You got a point..

This was very good. Very relatable in how we are so critical of ourselves. But you knocked it out of the park with this and I loved how you ended it - nicely done.
