Language is a Broken Vessel

Original sketch of my friend and I - of a photo - of a reflection - in a passing bus. :)
An old friend leans against the terminal wall;
Conversation drifts, like shimmering snowfall,
Traversing eras, fresh and long-past, there;
Talk crystallizes, like flakes on scarf, jacket, hair,
Around one question: how'd we get here now?
And we laugh and softly mourn at how
Language is a broken vessel for feelings.

Gorgeous piece, especially that last line.
This is a beautiful reflection on the how time can ravage even the best of friendships! Your poetry is as expressive as ever, Gabriel! Good luck on the challenge!
Your poem was so deep! I loved it and your sketch!
And lightning strikes once again! You always manage to take such specific but relatable imagery and extend it somewhere deeply profound! Fantastic work, Gabriel!
A wonderful image for a piece of truth
You placed us in a positon we have all been in.
Love the line, "Language is a broken vessel for feelings" Makes me think of The Little Prince
Well-wrought! Experience is the only real teacher, and when we know, we know (that we know nothing?)
