I didn't want to be an expert.
Who would?
Letting go is painful.
I was blissfully content,
Happily unaware of what was to come.
So many losses
Distress
Fear for the future.
Who wouldn't
Reel in self-pity,
Aching for times when loved ones still existed?
Times when laughing was customary,
Smiling was more commonplace.
How did this reluctant expert
Learn to let go?
Crying
Remembering
Crying a bit less
Getting on with life
Crying occasionally
Listening to music
Crying only when triggered.
Being active.
Joining with music.
Laughing More
Smiling more.
How did this reluctant expert
Learn to let go?
By letting go.

My father beat me a child. I went to his grave recently and forgive him. I let it go. He was a soldier with PTSD. The military has the worst doctors.
It is hard to let go. However, it is liberation.
Awww, super and I loved the ending!
