Medb, Queen of Connacht
Introduction
This is my fourth piece inspired by Justine G. Cappelli's gorgeous artwork.
Medb is pronounced "Maeve" (/meɪv/ or MAY-v). This ancient Irish name, often associated with the mythological Queen of Connacht, derives from Old Irish and corresponds to modern Irish spellings like Méabh or Meadhbh. It is commonly understood to mean "she who intoxicates" or "meadow".
