Light of Hope

There was a lantern of hope lit inside her chest,

A flickering dim light in the shadows,

Wavering day by day,

Hour by hour.

Some days the wind almost takes the little light away,

The shadows somehow grew closer,

And the light begins to fade,

away.

But still, the light of hope stays strong.

And amongst the darkest hours, the lantern continued to flicker on.

Forwards and brighter than ever before.

The lantern of hope kept burning on.
