Voice is what I found and a home for it is what you provided, a corner to sit and snatch together ideas that fly and whirl around my head, like bumbling moths.

Over time, people came to where I sat and hesitant at first, I wondered who I'd invited in, who had come to admire my humble craft, my tentative offerings.

Comrades in words, friends in vocabulary, solidarity in syntax and stanzas is what was brought and warmth, so much warmth that circles and urges and charms.

And here I am still, years on and I feel the presence of this place more than ever, virtually and with virtue, knowing that it's my storytelling chair by the fireside.

Literal love is what I feel; to be accepted, validated, applauded for myself but more, to share in human experience, expressed beautifully and with honesty and passion.

Thank you, Vocal and thank you. D.K. for your inspiring challenge. These chances to root around inside yourself and see what's there are some of the greatest things about this platform. That and the folk.

This actually made me a bit teary. Like Shaun said, you've captured a feeling and a journey so many of us can relate to in such a beautiful way. Thanks for welcoming me into your corner.

My housekeeper has been ironing my Knickers - don't know why no one ever sees them. I am what I I'z..! Quit pickin' on me. I'm going to post 'Frazzled' ~ The Search ~ as is...! Your CalBud

Love the image of the storytelling chair by the fireside. Always enjoy reading your work Rachel.

  • As always, eloquently expressed… I totally agree but didn’t manage to say it!💖

I began here with this feeling of euphoria, a few people still makes me feel welcome, but honestly...sometimes one feels so left out...so glad you are among the popular crew.

  • I sure feel that way too, about being on this platform, with all of you guys! 🥰🥰🥰
