Long Live The Queen

A story of overcoming

Long Live The Queen

By H.M.Zike

I’m sick and tired of being sorry,

For all the things

You think that I have done wrong.

I’m so tired of standing tall and being strong.

I’m not sorry, not at all

Not anymore.

Long Live the Queen.

Long may she reign.

I’m never going back again.

The poor little girl

That you used to know

Is six feet under

With roses on her stone.

Sometimes you must break

In order to be whole again.

Sometimes you have to die

To be re-born

Rise from the ashes,

with a brand-new soul.

Be the royalty you were born to be.

Don’t let your haters beat you down.

Hold your head high and hold onto your crown.

You have a higher destiny my dear.

Long live the Queen

Long may she reign

I’m never going back again.

The poor little girl

That you used to know

Is six feet under,

With roses on her stone.

They say that sticks and stones

Will break your bones.

But it’s their words

That will forever haunt you.

Just stand tall.

don’t let them see

that their ignorance gets to you.

Just hold faith in who you are

Long live the Queen.

Long may she reign.

I am never going back again.

That poor little girl,

That you used to know.

Is six feet under,

With roses on her stone.
