Loose ends

& Insecurity

Another superficial day

stirring little lies into my morning coffee

a spoon of sugar to make them

sweeter, more palatable

pretend that it's good for me

~~~
Loose ends hidden deftly on a screen
what isn't seen shouldn't bother me
(If you were easy to block,
I would have done it already)
So I leave you on unread
archived words left to haunt and linger
~~~

I could put an end to this silent limbo

what is it that makes me pause now?

after so much clarity

am I still plagued by hope

or do I miss the misery

~~~
I must be half realist
half optimist
now drowning in insecurity
caught in the between
sleep it off in a glass of green
~~~

(If I was easy to block,

you would have done it already)
