Love's Flame

A Love Poem

The sound of your name

Leaves me inflamed

It shivers through my frame

My heart is yours to claim

Pleasing you is my aim

Losing you would cause me shame

I am now tame

Our Love isn’t a game

Neither of us will have fame

But this is what I became

My heart is aflame

My love, I want to exclaim

You are Love's Flame

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
