Many dreams I had

Dreams

By Ali Sadeek AhmedPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Many dreams I had

Oh, so many dreams I had,

Back in the days, when I was a lad.

Some came true, some still on the way,

The rest will shine, maybe someday.

Once I dreamed I’d be a boss,

Suits and ties, no love lost.

Then I woke up, what a twist,

Found myself guarding gates with a list.

I jumped from bed, wide awake,

Dreams can be strange, give me a break!

Then one night, I dreamed of love,

My sweetheart munching sunflower stuff.

He held my hand, oh, what a sight,

Flapped his wings, and we took flight.

We landed down in a garden fair,

Laughter and flowers filled the air.

"Flapped his wings, and we took flight

Roses blooming everywhere,

He laughed beside me, with no care.

And there I lay, dreaming still,

Life’s funny twists always thrill.
