Millisecond

live within the milliseconds

By Isabella WalkerPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Do you know that feeling

right when you’re about

to fall asleep

Your eyes too heavy

to allow you to keep doing

whatever mundane task

Or tuck away those

awful thoughts

that you cover with a mask

and you just drift

for a split second

That one second

one millisecond

right after you wake up

you don’t remember

what day it is

or what time it is

You’re just light

free

happy

That one split moment

I’d live in it forever

I can say that this poem is quite literally like a teddy bear to me. I love that you love being in this state, and I love that you allow us to enjoy it with you by describing it so well to the point of being tangible.
