Misplaced Trust

yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Yesterday,

we smiled.

No locks.

No lies.

Stories of hope

traded.

Today—

hearts shattered.

Eyes shift.

Doors close.

Barricaded.

Trust

fell

loudly.

Lost

on deaf ears.

Cries-

Help

withheld.

Now,

each step

feels stolen.

The future

waits—

patrons watching,

shallow breaths,

listening.

Waiting—

for signs

of hope,

of life,

or

the end.

Tennessee Garbage

Howdy! There is relatable stuff here- dark and twisty and some sentimental garbage. "Don't forget to tip your waitresses" Hi, I am your waitress, let me serve you with more content. Hope you enjoy! :)
