Instructions for a Feeling Challenge
baby boomers had it all
from the largest generation big and tall
to the births, the sayings, that had their call
the baby boomer by far, had the greatest music of all times
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
pedal pushers, penny loafers, the seam up the back of your hose
slicked back hair, the boogie man, and only the shadow knows
lemon aide stands, the hit parade, and girls wearing fancy bows
Elvis Presley singing Hound Dog was still the finest music around
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Dancing close, a little moron jokes, and cooties in her hair
the sock hop, the senior prom, the whip at the county fair
cracker jack prize, stars in your eyes, drive in movies without a care
Roy Orbison singing Pretty Woman was the best music around
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
James Dean, he was keen, and the Sadie Hawkins dance
mums the word and the dirty bird and egg in your pants
going steady, white bucks and blue suede shoes all within a glance
The Beach Boys music, like Barbara Ann would transcend generations
The Baby Boomer's Generation of Music is Nostalgia at its best
