What is a best friend?
Could a best friend be human?
Could a best friend be imaginary?
Could a best friend be a toy? or
Could a best friend be a pet?
To be honest this is a poem of my
best friends past and present.
I do have human friends from younger days and now,
but my really special friends were
my dogs- Pal, Pierre, Misty and Miss Pokey,
my old stuffed bears and dogs, and
believe it or not my other best friends are
my books from children's books to
school books.
Reading these friends lets me remember my other
friends and the good and the bad times. So,
what is a friend?
A friend is one that lets you be you whether the friend is
a person, a pet or even a thing that you cherish.
Someone or something that makes you feel comfortable
anytime day or night.
Friends to remember.
