My Swords Oath

What to fight for

This oath I took, I did not choose

It came by me so naturally

To pledge my sword. To fight for you.

In wars of love gone heavy

You say: Please don’t. How could I not?

Now that I found my compass

I’ll follow it, my purpose forth

To heal, protect, show justice

My soul can’t bear to see a heart

In pain, cut off from comfort

My blade will sing, to kill the dark

My voice sings love abundant

I’m bound by oath, but yet I’m free

Cause this is simply being

Who I am supposed to be

Dark doubts of old are leaving

So don’t dare think you stand alone

My sword will always serve thee

Whomever it can shield, help grow

It will, in its true calling
