Ode to the moon of the holidays

It’s the second night of the month and I’m waiting for it.

It eats me alive as I die in anticipation for it.

I hear it. That smooth breeze in the wind is I.

I love this time of the year. I treasure this November sky.

It looks best to me, especially when the moon is out.

Declaring that the holidays will soon come out.

Not a meal, but like thanksgiving this moon serves me up.

The best Christmas present. Do I deserve enough?

The fall is closing out. I’m looking in the sky.

I love the full moon that sits in the November sky.
