Chest cold and coughing...
'Congratulations, Kendall!'
My symptoms faded...
*
Note: almost as soon as I received the news that I had finally won a Challenge, I got sick with a bad cough that lingered in my chest. I took Saturday and most of Sunday off to handle it, along with the work I had to mark and prep for my students, but I still feel rundown. But do not fear: I am still writing and I have at least one other piece on the go that will be up soon. This haiku just explains my state of mind now.
And I need to rest.

Being around students combined with the stress must compromise the immune system
The stress of the teaching job. Take care of yourself, Kendall.
I hope you feel better soon.💜
Feel better soon. Nothing like acknowledgment of your work to speed recovery. ❤️🩹
Sending Love, Light, and Healing Energy to you! Congratulations! I love it that you won. I was stymied by this challenge, I didn't enter. I'm eager to see what you. I love the quote at the end too. Bittersweet haiku. 🙂 ⚡️💙 Bill⚡️ I think the timing is divine too! You aren't feeling well and then something to uplift your spirit, which hopefully drive any lingering cooties away.
