Only Cowards Hunt Wild Animals For Sport
This Is For The Vocal "Poetry of the Hunt" Challenge

Introduction
I do find it appalling that so-called humans hunt animals and kill them in the most horrible ways for so-called sport. They are usually people with too much money and zero concern for wildlife that cannot defend itself.
I have written on this subject before here:
They are sadistic bullies.
This poem is a Ghazal.
The music is "The Hunt" by Tony (TS) McPhee

They Are So Appalling, Members Of The Hunt
Murdering Animals For Fun, That's The Hunt

Red Coats, Horses And Beagles, To Kill A Fox
Call It Country Living, Excusing The Hunt

To Rip The Fox Apart, Spilling Its Red Blood
Smearing It On The Children Who're With The Hunt

For Them It's An Exercise In Cruelty
For The Fox, It's A Painful Death At The Hunt

Yes, They Have The Red Coats And All The Money
We Have Numbers To Save The Fox From The Hunt

Only Cowards Hunt Wild Animals For Sport
All Those With Morals Will Stand And Stop The Hunt

The Foxes, Badgers And Every Wild Creature
They Deserve Freedom And Safety From The Hunt

Great sentiment, Mike. Whether it be foxes or elephants or tigers, lions, or any other form of wildlife, hunting is an abhorrent sport.
Way to go Mr. Mike. Totally agree. One should only hunt for food survival if one finds that necessary.
I couldn't agree with you more. Wonderful poem, Mike. And yet another new poetry form that you've introduced me to.
We had a neighborhood fox. It was a mascot of sorts. I came face to face with it a few times. I never felt threatened. It was beautiful. I agree with your sentiment here π§‘
Brilliantly put, I echo every word, thankyou for sharing xx
Extremely meaningful poem: I too, despise this "for fun" not food type of cruelty. It's one thing to need to eat but killing elephants and more for pleasure and to brag is despicable.
